The Story
Some names in Peshawar’s chappal trade were never assigned by a factory — they were given by the street, by shopkeepers, by customers who kept asking for “the one Kaptan wears.” The Kaptan style takes its name from a specific shop in Peshawar and from a well-known public figure long associated with it — a name that spread through habit and loyalty rather than marketing. The Gul Khan Kaptan Black carries that same confident, upright silhouette forward: deep black leather, a strong structured form, and a presence that doesn’t need to raise its voice.
