The Story
Not all leather used in Peshawar’s chappal trade comes from the same source. Bag leather — thicker, sturdier, and traditionally reserved for bag-making — has found its way into a small number of chappal designs prized for the added durability this heavier material provides. The Gul Khan Bag Leather Blue is built from exactly this leather, giving the chappal a firmer structure and a longer working life than lighter traditional leathers typically offer.
The blue finish gives this pair a distinctive presence, a departure from the browns and blacks that dominate most of the collection, while the underlying construction stays true to the traditional Peshawari silhouette. This is a chappal for a man who wants both durability and a bit of visual distinction — footwear built to outlast an ordinary pair while standing apart in color from everything else in his wardrobe.
The Gul Khan Bag Leather Blue draws its strength quite literally from its material, carrying the same honest, hardworking spirit found in traditional bag-leather craftsmanship into a form built for the feet rather than the hand.
