Not a clothing brand. A cultural one.
Baryalai is a Pakistani cultural lifestyle brand inspired by the story of its founder, Fozia — a courageous woman who transformed her passion for design and craftsmanship into a mission to celebrate and preserve the culture of Pakistan.
The brand creates girls' wear, ladies' wear, and home textiles. But these products are not the purpose. The purpose is cultural storytelling — every design represents the beauty, traditions, patterns, colors, and heritage of Pakistan.
In Pashto, Baryalai describes a woman who is —
Baryalai represents Fozia's own journey. The brand name itself is the brand story.
May 2026
Fozia Bibi set out to build a brand that would represent Pakistani culture while giving artisans real opportunities — fair wages, and the chance to grow.
She shared this vision with Noor Sabah, founder of Zarqush, who agreed to mentor her through it. Baryalai launched as A Project by Zarqush — Zarqush's mission to empower women, given form through fashion, textiles, and story.
To celebrate, preserve, and promote
The diverse cultures of Pakistan through fashion, textiles, and storytelling.
Culture First
Every design begins with heritage, not trend.
Authenticity
Patterns and traditions represented honestly.
Craftsmanship
The skill of the hands behind every piece.
Empowerment
Real opportunities and fair wages for artisans.
Heritage Preservation
Keeping Pakistan's traditions alive through what we wear and live with.
Storytelling
Every product carries the story of where it came from.
Meesaaq
میثاق
Meesaaq means covenant — a promise. It's Baryalai's first collection, and the first expression of the brand's commitment to Pakistani craftsmanship and cultural storytelling.
The Final Rule
Every piece must answer one question:
"How does this help preserve, celebrate, or tell the story of Pakistani culture?"
